A Sterling silver, Gold and three colour enamel cigarette case, formerly the property of King Edward VII. Made by Alexander Clark of Bond Street.

Having a facsimilie signature to the lid of "Edward R.I". 

The inclusion of the letter "I" meaning "Imperator" (Emperor) is an unusual addition to the Kings standard signature.

With a rich navy blue guilloche enamel, blood red guilloche enamel and gold banding separated by black enamel. The signature also in gold.

The case was gifted to his close friend Baron Saville (Sir John Lumley Saville) who's estate he often visited to go hunting.
