A very rare and complete set of brass Governmental Grain Measures, dated for 1824.
In solid brass, with Lignum Vitae handles for the largest three measures, the next four having carved Ivory handles. These measures date to the 1824, the year the Weights and Measures act was passed.
With portcullis stamps to the rims of the measures, the youngest stamp dated for 1935.
